Mussoorie

Kausani
With the panoramic view of the great Himalayan peaks of Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Panchchuli, Kausani is the most sort after place to visit in Uttarakhand. Also known as the ‘Switzerland of India’, Kausani is a paradise for nature admirers. Kedarnath
Kedarnath Yatra is considered the most divine and holy pilgrimage site in all of India. Located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, is the highest jyotirlingas. Kedarnath is one of the Char Dhams of the Himalayas and is located at an elevation of 3584m. It is said that, without paying a visit to Bhairav Nath Temple, Kedarnath Yatra is incomplete. It is located at a distance of only 500m from the main temple. On the way to Kedarnath, you’ll come across Gauri Khud and Vasuki Tal (the mountain lake) and the samadhi of Sri Shankaracharya, who supposedly attained Nirvana at a very young age of 32 years. Son Prayag is another significant place where the nuptial ceremony of Lord Shiva and Goddesses Parvati took place. With Lush greenery and blossoms in summer to snow-covered mountain trails and frosty trees in the winters, the Kedarnath yatra will give the experience of a lifetime.
The temperature varies between –2 to 28-degree Celsius. The Peak season for visiting are May, June, September, and October. The temple stays closed during the winter months due to heavy snowfall. Avoid visiting Kedarnath during the monsoon season (July-August) as there are chances of landslides.

Auli
Auli is situated in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, perched at an elevation of 2909m. The far-stretching meadows look stunning to the eyes and accentuate the beauty of the place. You get to see the panoramic views of the mighty Himalayas almost from any place in Auli. The forest that surrounds the village is full of tall trees like oak, deodars, coniferous, and pine. The ropeway facility in Auli is the longest and highest in the world. Other attractions in Auli are Chattarkhund, Chenab, and Auli lake.
