Day 01: Mumbai – Arrival International Airport
After scheduled arrival at Mumbai International Airport, our representative will escort you to the designated hotel. After freshen up spend rest of time in leisure activities. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Mumbai
Have breakfast in the hotel’s coffee shop. The tour guide will greet you in the hotel’s lobby and will brief you aboutThe Gateway of India in Mumbai, India ‘Maximum City’ and plans of city’s tour. He will then take you for whole day sightseeing tour of the city. Explore this mesmerizing city which is also called the financial capital of India. The city is an amalgamation of seven islands.
Start your city tour with a visit to Gateway of India – one of the most famous landmarks – built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India. Prince of Wales Museum – close of the Gateway of India has a priceless collection of art, sculpture, painting and traditional utensils. Siddhi Vinayak Temple, Dhobi Ghat, Haji Ali Mosque and Choupatty Beach are other major spots worth visiting. Evening time is for shopping. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Mumbai – Shirdi (285Kms, 5.5Hrs drive)Shirdi Sai Baba Darshan
Have early breakfast in the hotel and later depart for Shirdi. Check into a hotel upon arrival in the afternoon. Post lunch in the hotel visit Mahasamadhi temple of Sri Sai Baba. It is an abode of one of the most revered saint in Maharashtra – Sai Baba of Shirdi. Popularly known as the ‘Child of God’, Sai Baba preached tolerance towards all religions and spread the message of universal brotherhood. Every activity at Shirdi revolves around the vast temple complex dedicated to Sai Baba. Devotees start queuing up in the wee hours to catch a glimpse of Sai Baba and seek blessings of the life-size statue of Sai Baba. Have dinner in the hotel and stay there overnight.
Day 04: Shirdi –Shani Signapur (70Kms one way) – Shirdi
Have breakfast in the hotel’s coffee shop and later visit Dwarkamani Mosque where the Baba meditated and had slept on alternate nights. Also, watch dhuni, or eternal flame that burns day and night, in a corridor near the mosque.
Set out for an excursion of Shani Signapur located 70kms away from Shirdi in afternoon. The presiding deity of Shinganapur, Sri Shaneshwara or Lord Shanidev is the personification of the planet Saturn and is worshipped with utmost reverence and devotion by many people across the world. The spectacle of the deity in black stone is overwhelming. A unique aspect of this place is that no temple structure houses the Shanidev. The Swayambhu idol, in black stone, stands on a simple platform.
Unlike other pilgrimage centres, devotees themselves can perform puja, or abhishek, and other religious rituals. One of the salient features of village Shiganapur is that houses, or dwellings, have no doors, frames or locks, for safety. Residents believe that it is the benediction of the god that no crime will happen in the village. Get back to the hotel for lunch. Spend rest of the time in leisure activities. Have dinner in the hotel and stay there overnight.
Day 05: Shirdi – Nashik (100Kms, 2.5Hrs drive)Temple in Nasik, Maharashtra
After breakfast in the hotel drive towards Nashik, which is located in the northwest of Mumbai. It is one of the holiest Hindu cities. Kumbh Mela is held here once in 12 years along with four other cities in the country. Check into a hotel upon arrival. After freshen up, set out for the city’s tour to visit temples including Kalaram Temple, Naroshankar Temple and Sundernarayan Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06: Nashik – Mumbai (175Kms, 5Hrs drive)
Have breakfast in the hotel and spend day time in leisure activities. Drive down to Mumbai post lunch. Directly reach Mumbai International Airport upon arrival to board a flight to respective destination. This concludes a memorable trip to Mumbai and Shirdi.
